SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Kate Amore grew up in Anchorage, Alaska where she developed a strong passion for the mountains. She moved to Tahoe in 2020 and worked as a ski lift operator at Palisades Tahoe. During that season, she fell in love with the Sierras and has lived there ever since. She graduated from Portland State University with a major in Communication Studies, and an emphasis in social media. She joined the Sierra Watch team in 2024 as the social media manager. Her role entails social campaigning, outreach, and keeping the Tahoe Truckee True community updated with creative videos and pictures. Outside of Sierra Watch, she coaches freeride skiing at Sugar Bowl, plays music in a local band, and spends most of her time outside in nature.
