Hey Tahoe – It’s Time!
It’ll make you smile. It might make you mad. It will definitely make you want to go to Sierra Watch’s Tahoe Truckee True Action Portal.
SYNOPSIS
Made by local legend Scott Gaffney, this little video is the perfect re-introduction to the epic effort to keep Tahoe Truckee True.
It’s an update on Alterra Mountain Company’s proposal for massive development at its Palisades Tahoe properties in Olympic Valley. And the grassroots campaign to defend Tahoe from Alterra’s plans to remake the region with luxury condos and an indoor waterpark.
“Tahoe and Olympic Valley are international treasures, but if we continue to deface and exploit them, we’ll forever lose what makes them so special,” says Gaffney. “Thanks to the passion and drive of Sierra Watch and the mountain-loving community rallying with Tahoe Truckee True, so far we’ve been spared the monstrosity of development that would forever change the character of this place.”
